This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 Sometimes， good things come to those who wait， and this is definitely the theme of my journey with a “Dance of thieves”， as well as the overriding theme。 I had been trying to hunt this book down for a long while， and I happened upon it by accident， and couldn’t wait to start it。 It was hefty， it was fantasy， it was enemies to lovers; what more could I ask for？ As all good stories start， a band of loveable， tortured， assassins， head off on a journey to an aptly named， Hell’s mouth。 A dark， and se Sometimes， good things come to those who wait， and this is definitely the theme of my journey with a “Dance of thieves”， as well as the overriding theme。 I had been trying to hunt this book down for a long while， and I happened upon it by accident， and couldn’t wait to start it。 It was hefty， it was fantasy， it was enemies to lovers; what more could I ask for？ As all good stories start， a band of loveable， tortured， assassins， head off on a journey to an aptly named， Hell’s mouth。 A dark， and seedy town， with a proud and sordid history， that is constantly being sought after。 All owned by a family deeply rooted in tradition， and controlled by pride。 My biggest gripe with the book，（and really one of my only gripes）， was that I found it so confusing to start with。 I had to preserve with the novel， until about 100 pages in before I got the hang of the world， the characters， the flashback snippets。 It was a little complex， especially when introducing a new world for the first time。 The pacing， after a little wonky start， got a lot better， and I found myself racing through the pages。 Each character was fleshed out really well， and whilst morally grey， the arch’s within the story were well developed and explained each reaction beautifully。 As a duology， I think this was an outstanding story， that had a satisfying ending， but also teased what was to come。 Throughout the novel， we are teased with the potential of a hidden magic， long forgotten， and ancient， malevolent gods， and I’m hoping the next novel will delve into these roots further。 。。。more

Wow！ Easily one of my top all time favorite books。 This was a phenomenal， thrilling， and captivating story。 I have absolutely no complaints， everything - the complicated love story， the adventure/survival， the politics， etc - was very well thought through and portrayed beautifully。 That cliffhanger was PERFECT and I am so stoked to read book #2。 Bravo！ I am a die-hard fan！

I completely branched out with my first dystopian novel & I am hooked！ It took me about 50 pages to get into it and understand the writing， but once I got used to it， it got so good。 Definitely a page turner， & I am sooo happy & excited I have the 2nd one because that ending was 🤯🤯 Probably one of the best enemies to lovers tropes I’ve ever read。 Buttttt are they really lovers？？？ Reading the 2nd one asap。
